Description: I bought Henry as a birthday gift for my youngest brother who is 7 years old. Originally I wanted to name him Luigi, but my brother wanted to name him Henry. Since it's his hamster; the name was kept. I asked my brother why he named the hamster Henry but he said he didn't know. I thought it would be good for my little brother to take on some responsibility at a young age. Of course, I supervise him. Previously, I had 2 hamsters (both females) so I've had experience taking care of them. I was younger then, but now I'm the one maintaining the cage, food and water. Occasionally, my little brother would help.
Henry, like all hamsters, are nocturnal and he prefers to be solitary. Since Henry is a panda bear type hamster and is a male, he is very gentle and easy to handle. He is called a "Panda Bear" because they have similar fur colouring as to the actual panda bears. They both have black heads and have white bodies with various black blotches on them. Generally, this type of hamster breed is bigger then other hamsters. For this reason, these larger sized hamsters are better suited for younger children to take care of. Also, they are quite friendly when handling with them.
Words from my brother (exactly typed out as he dictated-please excuse the grammer): He is the cutest animal in town! My sister also made him a wheel where he sometimes rolls on it. Sometimes he rolls left or right. Henry the Hamster sleeps during the day and he wakes up during the night which is quite a surprise because he's like a raccoon! That's what raccoons do. He eats dried corns, apples, and anything! Too bad we didn't buy two hamsters. That way Henry would have a friend! Henry has 3 houses. He has an orange one, a blue one, and a brown one. I am really happy that I have a hamster. The end!
