In my previous entry, I forgot to mention that I went to see the fireworks. It was on the same day as Day 1 of my tournament; hence why I was so tired! I had to walk for about 30 minutes to and from the skytrain station. Talk about excerise overkill! The best news of all was that we had a thunder storm that exact night so while we watched the fireworks, lightning was flashing through the sky. That was neat! I think more people were more interested in seeing the lightning then the fireworks. Last Saturday was a very busy day! In the morning, I went to the Regional Park with Shadow (boyfriend) and we went crabbing! We caught 5 red rock crabs and a giant sunflower seastar. There wasn't a lot of people there so it was pretty good until a group of teenage girls started to make a rukus. They were very annoying because they kept on screaming about every single thing, for example, "EEEK, a crab is crawling!" So annoying... Later on in the evening, I went to watch the fireworks! This time I headed over to my best friend boyfriend's apartment which overlooked the water. If you look in the picture (below right) and look for a giant vessel, that is where the fireworks were coming from. Pretty, eh? The fireworks wasn't too bad since it was a nice day compared to last week. Yesterday was a stat holiday because it was BC Day. My family and my boyfriend headed over to a lake where we went on a canoe adventure down a river. We had to cross the lake before heading down the river. The scenery was beautiful and there were so many things you could do. I, of course, jumped into the river. It wasn't as deep as I thought it would be, but it was so cold! My little brother and I were playing in the mud and we were trying to catch little fishes with our milk jug (attached to the canoe). It was hard! In the end, my little brother managed to catch 2 tiny fishes while my boyfriend managed to catch a big one. Nothing but a long water adventure to relax yourself. Posted on Aug 04 2009 by Kidd
